Utah Tech University's Blaze Dance Team Brings Home Gold and Silver from USA Dance Nationals
Utah Tech University's Blaze Dance Team recently competed at United Spirit Association Dance Nationals, bringing home a first-place finish in D1 Collegiate Hip-Hop and second-place in D1 Collegiate Jazz. The Blaze Dance Team will have their final showcase on Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Burns Arena on Utah Tech's campus. Blaze alumni are invited to attend to celebrate the new national champions as well as to be honored as alumni of the 70-year-old program. The public is also invited to this event.

16-year-old Mary Monson represents Utah Tech pickleball at English Open
Sixteen-year-old Utah Tech student Mary Monson competed at the Pickleball English Open as one of the youngest athletes to play for both the high school and college level, reaching the quarter finals in doubles and mixed doubles. Monson competes at both a pro and collegiate level, representing Utah Tech University's pickleball team as a 16-year-old. Mary said that her competitive drive and determination pushes her to compete at high levels. While juggling the training schedule of a high-level athlete, Mary is a concurrent enrollment student taking both high school and college classes, all while still finding time to have a part-time job. Mary hopes to continue her pickleball career and has her eyes set on Collegiate National Championship title with Utah Tech, a pro medal, and to play in Major League Pickleball.
